September 11th is a hard topic to discuss with anyone - but especially hard with kindergartners. Every year, our school reads the story September 12th written and illustrated by a 1st grade class after the events of 9/11. As a class, we briefly and delicately discuss that day. We talk about how strong our country was, and how we took care of each other during a really hard time. This year, students created a star with the colors red, white, and blue. We took our stars and attached them to panther paws to hang in our hallway. Take a look at the photos below!
